The microblogging platform X, previously known as Twitter, has resumed operations following a short-lived global outage that affected users' ability to refresh their feeds. During the downtime, many took to the platform to share messages like "Like this tweet if you can see it," confirming that services were back to normal. The outage, which lasted for several minutes, caused significant disruptions, with users encountering error messages such as "something went wrong, try reloading." According to Downdetector.com, an outage tracking site, there were 915 reports of issues in India at 9:15 AM IST, while the United States saw nearly 36,000 outage reports around 11:15 PM ET (8:45 AM IST). The majority of complaints—over 70 percent—were related to the mobile app, though some users also reported problems with the web version and server connectivity. As of now, X has not provided an official explanation for the outage, leaving the cause unclear. This incident marks the second outage in a month; the previous disruption occurred during a Spaces conversation between X owner Elon Musk and former U.S. President Donald Trump. Musk attributed that interruption to a "massive" cyberattack. Historically, X has faced its share of technical glitches, with Musk previously describing the platform's code as "brittle." In the aftermath of the outage, users quickly flooded X with humorous memes about the situation. One user quipped, "People are checking Twitter to see whether Twitter is down," highlighting the community's response to the disruption.
