WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO CREATE STOCKED, AND HOW DOES THE COMPANY AIM TO REDEFINE CONVENIENCE IN MEAL PREPARATION?


I was inspired by the way my mum used to cook for me when I was a baby – freezing my food into ice cube trays. I realized it was more flexible, versatile, and space efficient than other convenience options and addressed a big gap in the market for convenience and customisation!

We believe one-size-fits-all doesn’t fit anyone so by providing a flexible solution we allow our customers to eat what they want when they want.

YOUR PACKAGING DESIGN EMPHASIZES SUSTAINABILITY AND EFFICIENCY. COULD YOU SHARE MORE ABOUT THE DEVELOPMENT PROCESS BEHIND YOUR PACKAGING?

Our packaging development has been an iterative process. We started off in cardboard boxes but have moved to recyclable plastic pouches as they maintain the quality of the food and stay just as space efficient when you use a couple of Blocks.

Roll it up and tuck it away in the freezer. We’re proud that our packs contain twice as much food in half as much packaging as our plastic tray competitors.

CAN YOU DISCUSS ANY CHALLENGES YOU’VE ENCOUNTERED IN DEVELOPING AND SCALING STOCKED AND HOW YOU’VE OVERCOME THEM?


Bringing a new format to market has definitely been a challenge so we’ve learnt a huge amount about who our customers are and why they find STOCKED useful. This has allowed us to improve how we tell our story and describe our Blocks!
